[attr="class","revcallpersonality1"] Kujaku, first born son to Kaido the Great; had been born during a time when the title 'Prince' did not follow his father. An immigrant to the newly created Republic City with his mother, such a fantasy title was little more than tales he heard from his father. Though that didn't stop the child from playing on the ideas as if they were true, albeit they were; yet at that time he didn't quite believe them as they were. The stories of his father's past history, of his apparent grandfather's deeds... They were all merely sentences to a storybook. Something he could gossip about with his mother despite her knowing all too well of repeated lessons. He found fun where there was supposed to be seriousness and fact. Amusement where things were supposed to be taught. [break][break] Back then, he only thought them stories that would never reach his position. He'd been a realistic child after all, far too rational despite his later irrationality. [break][break] Whether it the environment of the Republic or just a natural-born swerve, Ku grew up a flamboyant boy amongst the growing technologies and cultures of the city. He'd always been a charmer at heart, admiring his mother's strength and beauty while trying to put a little more so into his father's overly grumpy appearance... at least by his standards. It was no secret or hidden fact that he'd often bring the man who helped build the place he once called home flowers by the dozen. Hiding plushies in places where he knew his father might find them, tried to hide the more formidable of the man's wardrobe... sometimes replacing things with his own or even his mother's (if he'd managed to get that lucky). [break][break] Though it wasn't as if he was all play... well, at least not a hundred-percent of the time. During his wonderfully flashy period the boy did try his hand at helping. Being more of a socialite, he often created or helped to create events that would ease the public into the acceptance of Republic City. Drawing forth peoples' attention or dazzling them away from the controversies. A sleek silver tongue to keep the tensions lows, create 'friends' in both high and low places. Grandiose scheming on his part, something that was all far to much like breathing to him. [break][break] Mischievous, perhaps; but Ku grew up a clever boy. Devious, formidable in the way of cold reading and psycho-analyzing. He was by far nothing close to a genius fire-bender as his sibling had been, nothing so remotely perfect for the Fire Nation in image, name, or power. A lover of the arts, of nurturing the growths of minds, a brilliant predator in being able to pull strings from the shadows without so much as a blink of an eye. He may have been first born, expected to carry on the legacy (fiancee` included); but he knew from the moment his younger sibling figured out how to firebend and lead, Ku's spotlight was never going to be there. [break][break] And yet that had been fine for the older boy, even when their father moved to reclaim the fairytale of the Fire Throne. An uncle he'd never met vanquished, a kingdom set for their own, a title to attach all of them to what Ku couldn't believe wasn't a fable. It felt... extremely unreal, unnatural yet so natural. His own 'dealings' in helping his father retake the throne with the Avatar felt more real than his commoner status being uplifted to nobility. Not that he'd ever real such things but things were as they were. He may have been a natural with a sword but he was still no Fire Lord by far, if anything; he would have gladly taken the name of a shadow king instead. It wasn't as if he was above coercion and blackmail, and again; he wasn't about to share information that wasn't 'necessary' for those in the spotlight. [break][break] Titled a Prince of Fire, still expected to carry on the family line what with his place in the eldest list; Kujaku has kept to his more subtle means of business while conducting the passions of his hobbies. Dressing for occasions as male or female, often keeping under the radar when his presence at a party or conference or other sort isn't needed. It's actually terrifying at how good he is at acting... and deflecting... and prying. Someone in the Fire Nation needs to be good at these things, he'll often say. And, of course; he will admit it does feel rather good to see some of the pressure off his family when he's done something well. | [attr="class","revcalllikes"] SKILLS+firebending - apprentice[break] +weapon mastery (sword) - adept[break] [attr="class","revcalllikes1"] [attr="class","revcalllikes"] inventory-stylized seax sword[break] -erhu[break] |
